It's the summer holidays for conference and the Royal Opera House alike (like many theatres) and therefore slow in terms of work for me. I was invited down to Kings Place Music Foundation for some training and a summer party... It seemed rude to decline :) The wet weather gave in to beautiful sunshine and it was a lovely day looking out over the Battlebridge Basin on the Regent's canal. A wander at lunchtime around Granary Square and I was amazed at how this has become a meeting place of people! Cubbitt Square had live music, Familes played in the fountains and people queued around the block to get into Dishoom! I missed The Kerb by minutes but did find an enthusiastic Acoustic guitar player on the "Word on the water" barge.
