A chance meeting with Simon Floyd (The Costume hire department at The Maddermarket Theatre) resulted in an invite to the EGG Festival Cafe at the Norwich Arts Centre. It was with some trepidation that Peter Beck and myself wandered into the packed studio space. Simon has busy attending his flock so we sat down quietly out of the way... But that's not how the cafe (part of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival) works. On seeing us, he beamed and announced to the throng that the guest director had arrived. A special seat was brought forward to Peter to sit on and our coffee orders were quickly taken. At this point we had a chance to take in our surroundings, A chalk board announced that a full breakfast was available today (i'm sure it was never changed to any other of the selections namely "Bits and blobs", "A butty" etc :) The Eggs were announced as currently "Def Con 4" which was reassuring... I think...
The table behind us were introduced as "Singing for their breakfast" and duly started an a coppella performance which was very impressive. A guitarist next sang a love song and shortly thereafter Andy Bennett recited 2 of his poems. Definitely worth a listen if you get the chance. Emma Nuule was next up with an opera song after which you could have heard a pin drop before the applause started. What an amazing and unexpected start to my day. A real experience and such a good to be alive moment. Thank you Simon and team, a really great and wonderful experience. And yes, I did get my "big breakfast" which was delicious! :)

After some discussions with Martin at MJPA HireI found myself in the depths of Norfolk (Burham Market) unpacking the kit for a Joe Ringer band performance. Joe and Martin both know that a professional image and performance are the key to a great event and I am more than happy to be an ambassador for their brand. Kit was unpacked, stacked and cabled, the band arrived and everything went smoothly. The Sussex Barn is a lovely venue, the people were friendly and happy, the dance floor filled and the band performed beautifully. It was a great honour to be a part of the entertainment. Well done the Joe Ringer band. More green screen work today with John Mangan and Camilla Webster from "Return to the Forbidden Planet", which will be performed at The Maddermarket Theatre, July 22nd to the 30th July. Seen here with our Break Charity Norwich Duck race duck "WipeOut" It was an amazing experience with Photo Blasters, Light Sabres and featured some great eyebrow acting. I loved every moment and please watch out for press releases appearing in print and online very soon. I was lucky enough to be invited round to friends for coffee this morning. I hadn't been to their house before and the house and gardens alone were very impressive. But at the end of the garden I stepped through an archway and saw this amazing view of Norwich! I have to go back on a sunny morning and capture it properly but I am sure that nothing will capture the breathtaking panorama. Many thanks Steven and Roger. Incredible and thank you.
Pleased to have two of my photos in the local press yesterday. With grateful thanks to Archant for the credit.
An incredible start to the Norfolk and Norwich Festival this week with "the Tempest" performed at the Hippodrome in Great Yarmouth. I have never been before and it was quite a spectacular. There is not much that can beat Shakespeare when it's performed well, and this was performed very well. Thoroughly entertaining and spectacular. Well done everyone concerned.
