As a boy I grew up with Paddington, not literally of course, but I had to read every book I could get my hands on and even once I should have been "progressing onto more challenging works" I still had a soft spot for that little bear from Darkest Peru. So it was with some trepidation that I headed to the cinema today? How would the small bear cope on the big screen? The answer? Fantastically well! I laughed (perhaps too loud) I cried (perhaps too much). The characters were all so lovable and well played... especially the small bear with the big heart! A triumph and well done to everyone concerned it was a real masterpiece and my memories of my childhood were, if anything enhanced. If you see one film this Christmas, make it Paddington, your heart will be considerably warmer when you leave and everything will, for once, feel right with the world :)
